Pdf Summary
This document provides information regarding a poster design and also includes a study on robotic total laparoscopic hysterectomy with uterosacral ligament plication.

The poster is designed to be printed on a large-format printer and provides formatted placeholders for customization. Users can type in the placeholders to add text, or add various elements such as tables, charts, SmartArt graphics, pictures, or multimedia files. It also provides instructions on adding or removing bullet points and aligning placeholders using PowerPoint’s Smart Guides.

The study focuses on the use of uterosacral ligament plication during robotic hysterectomy. Uterosacral ligament plication is a procedure performed for the treatment and prevention of pelvic organ prolapse. The study considers the potential risks and benefits of performing this procedure alongside robotic hysterectomy, including concerns about patient tolerance and perioperative morbidity.

The objective of the study is to analyze the influence of uterosacral ligament plication on perioperative outcomes following robotic hysterectomy. The study is a retrospective case-control study from 2012 to 2016 and includes cases of robotic hysterectomy with uterosacral ligament plication, compared to controls without the plication.

The results of the study show that the cases with uterosacral ligament plication were more likely to have an anti-incontinence procedure and a vaginal prolapse repair, while the controls were more likely to have adnexal procedures. The study finds that performing uterosacral ligament plication at the time of hysterectomy appears to be well tolerated, with similar amounts of post-operative narcotics required and a clinically insignificant increase in hospital stay. Further studies are recommended to investigate the effects of uterosacral ligament plication during the outpatient post-operative period.
