This study aimed to analyze the correlation between pelvic position and pelvic floor muscle (PFM) function in women with urinary incontinence (UI). Thirty women with UI were included in the study. The strength, endurance, and fast-twitch capabilities of the PFM were evaluated using digital palpation. The angular parameters of the pelvis were also assessed. The results showed an anterior tilt of the pelvis in both the right side (RS) and left side (LS) views. Positive and significant correlations were found between endurance and pelvic angulation in both the RS and LS views, as well as between fast-twitch and RS. However, there was no correlation between power and pelvic position. These findings suggest that incontinent women have an anterior pelvic tilt, and there is a correlation between PFM function and pelvic position. The study suggests that further analysis with larger samples can help increase understanding of these correlations. The references cited in the study provide additional information on the functional anatomy of the pelvic floor and lower urinary tract, the role of lumbopelvic posture in pelvic floor muscle activation, and a manual therapy approach to the treatment of stress urinary incontinence.
