Pdf Summary
This study aimed to evaluate the urine flow rates in healthy, nulliparous female adults and create nomogram curves for various percentiles. Uroflow studies measure the volume and rate of urine flow during urination. The nomograms used for comparison are based on women aged 16-64, many of whom were parous. However, the effect of nulliparity on uroflow values has not been studied.

The study enrolled 162 nulliparous female participants with voided volumes between 50 cc and 800 cc. They were not affected by diabetes, neurological conditions, brain/spinal trauma, urogynecological surgeries, or pelvic infections in the past month. The mean age of the participants was 25.3 years and the mean BMI was 23.0.

The researchers developed nomogram curves for different voided volumes, ranging from 50-150 cc to 451-600 cc. They also observed a uroflow pattern that differed from previously reported studies, with multiple peaks and valleys instead of a normal distribution curve. However, the clinical significance of this finding is unclear and further research is needed to investigate its accuracy and relevance.

In summary, this study assessed uroflow rates in healthy, nulliparous female adults and developed nomogram curves for different voided volumes. The observed uroflow pattern differs from previous studies, but its clinical significance requires further investigation.
