While midurethral slings still dominate the stress urinary incontinence (SUI) market, it is important for urogynecologic surgeons to have a variety of tools available to them to treat this common condition. In this webinar, we will discuss three alternative surgical procedures - Burch colposuspension, rectus fascial sling, and periurethral injections - and where they fit in the treatment of SUI.
At the end of this webinar learners will be able to:
  1. Understand why urogyn surgeons should expand their surgical repertoire beyond just midurethral synthetic slings
  2. Describe the indications and potential complications for colposuspension, fascial slings, and periurethral injections
  3. Compare the short and long term success rates of synthetic slings to non-mesh surgeries for SUI.
