About 2024 PFD Week Enduring Course

The 2024 PFD Week Enduring course is a recording of the live AUGS Annual Meeting which took place in Washington, DC, October 23-25, 2024. This course includes all live-streamed sessions.

PFD Week was created by AUGS to become the go-to meeting for health care professionals interested in or actively practicing Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery.

This on-demand course expires on October 31, 2025. 

At the conclusion of this on-demand course, learners will be able to:

Clinical and Basic Science Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss updates in pelvic organ prolapse, fecal/urinary incontinence, and overactive bladder treatments.
  2. Describe pelvic floor anatomy and how to avoid, minimize, and manage complications of surgery.
  3. Describe research in postpartum complications and their clinical management.
  4. Discuss the latest research on the relationship between the microbiome and bladder health.
  5. Describe simulation models that can be used to educate trainees.
  6. Interpret the latest research in urogynecologic mesh complications.
  7. Discuss the ethical implications of artificial intelligence in patient care.
  8. Describe the Physician Payments Sunshine Act and its role in maintaining high ethical standards among practicing physicians.
  9. Explore research funding opportunities within federal and non-federal funding institutions.
  10. Discuss health disparities in urogynecology and y identify key factors contributing to inequities in access, quality of care, and outcomes and strategies to mitigate these inequities.
