Learning Objectives
  • Describe pelvic anatomy relevant to pelvic floor disorders.
  • Describe best practices in conducting a thorough pelvic exam.
  • Understand pessary fitting and management.
  • Be able to interpret urodynamic testing.
  • Identify and explain non-surgical and surgical management for PFDs: pelvic organ prolapse, bowel and bladder incontinence.
  • Be able to conduct patient counseling for PFDs.
  • Understand female sexual dysfunction diagnosis, evaluation, and management.
  • Understand recurrent UTI and bladder pain: diagnosis, evaluation and management.
  • Be able to diagnose and manage common vulvar dermatoses, with the awareness of racial differences in assessment and diagnosis.
  • Be able to diagnose, evaluate, and manage general pelvic pain and vulvodynia.
  • Understand urogynecologic management considerations as it relates to menopausal status and oncologic history.
  • Be able to assess and understand constipation / diarrhea / IBS
