Formerly known as "Fundamentals of Urogynecology," this course has undergone a transformation to offer healthcare professionals currently practicing or training in the field, a robust, comprehensive review of urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery.

This on-demand course is a recording of the live course offered in 2024 led by nationally renowned and highly engaging faculty. The course includes topics on pelvic pain syndromes, conservative management of urinary incontinence and prolapse, and overview on the latest research in urogynecology, and challenging clinical scenarios.

The goal of this innovative and dynamic course is to provide practicing physicians, subspecialty fellows, gynecologic surgical residents, advanced practice providers, and other learners a comprehensive, evidence-based review of where we are and where we are headed in urogynecology.

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:

1. Discuss updates and current trends in the conservative and surgical management of urinary incontinence and prolapse.
2. Describe clinically relevant anatomy and physiology of the pelvis.
3. Implement strategies to promote ergonomics in the operating room.
4. Discuss the evaluation, initial, and advanced management strategies for pelvic pain syndromes.
5. Provide evidence-based diagnosis and management for challenging clinical scenarios such as recurrent vs relapsing UTI, peripartum pelvic floor disorders, and the medical and surgical care of aging urogynecologic patients.
6. Identify and diagnose vulvar and colorectal syndromes that may coexist with pelvic floor disorders in a urogynecologic patient population.
7. Identify and discuss sampling of urogynecologic population and outcome definitions for research in urogynecology.

Accreditation
The American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
